Former Paris Saint-Germain head coach Carlo Ancelotti was left stunned by the club’s Champions League exit on Wednesday at the round of 16 tie.
After their UEFA Champions League (ECL) surrender, Carlo Ancelotti said he will have jumped off a bridge if he was in charge of Paris Saint-German.
PSG wasted their first leg lead in England and were marched out of the ECL on away goals by Manchester Unied in last -16 tie on 6 March.
PSG boss Thomas Rachel’s led 2-0 following the trip to Old Trafford, Manchester United’s home, but were beaten 3-1 in Paris, where Marcus Rashford’s VAR penalty decision awarded him in the 94th minute sent the Ligue 1 giants out.
Ancelloti, Napoli’s current head coach, who led the capital club to Ligue 1 glory in the 2012-13 season was stunned.
‘It was incredible”, said silver-haired Ancelotti to Sky Sport Italian. “If I had been on the bench, I don’t know what I will have done. Probably find the closest bridge and jump off it.’
